Jandri Ghat serves an exciting picnic spot shortly located from Dalhousie (2 km). It is just half a kilometer from Subhash Baoli. The place is a visual retreat, offering gushing streams amidst the tall pine trees. The elegant palace resting amid the woods is an attraction for most visitors. Built in 1870-71 by Raja Gopal Singh, this palace is structured in a European double-storied bungalow style. The palace serves as a beautiful colonial souvenir. Chamba’s former rulers used to rule from this palace until the advent of Lord Dalhousie. The palace is famous for its Shikhar trophies. Easily approachable by bus, taxi or on foot, it is a place worth a visit.
