Shrikhand peak is situated alongside the Great Himalayan National Park of Himachal. Shrikhand Mahadev is one of the divine abodes of Lord Shiva. People worship the natural, rock-made Shivalingam on the great peaks of the mountains. The place of Shivlingam is miraculous for the fact that all through year snow pours down on that place but it never stays over the lingam and quickly melts down from over it. The journey to the place could be undertaken from two sides, from Baghipul village in Nirmand, Rampur, or from Arsu in Rampur, which is 115 km from Shimla.
